The success of the project began with meticulous surface preparation by the skilled team at Epoxy Flooring Ltd. The concrete substrate was mechanically ground to achieve a CSP of 2-3, creating the ideal texture for the primer to bond. All joints and cracks in the concrete were filled with resin and skimmed to create a smooth, level surface. The entire area was then flush-ground and vacuumed to remove all dust and debris, ensuring a pristine canvas for the coating application.
A proven combination of Flowcrete products was selected to deliver a hard-wearing, chemically resistant, and stable surface. Two layers of Universal Resin were applied, ensuring a sealed concrete surface and a powerful bond for the topcoat, with 120-grit abrasion throughout. Deckshield UV was then applied, providing excellent wear resistance, protection against chemicals, and a smooth, easy-to-clean finish.
Through a combination of high-performance products and expert application by Epoxy Flooring Ltd, the completed installation provides a durable, chemically resistant surface that enhances Skinny Automotive workshop’s professional presentation while ensuring long-term performance reliability.
